A Transperth bus has rolled over in Wattle Grove.

About 25 people are thought to have been on the bus and a number of them have been injured. The passengers included students from St Brigid’s College in Lesmurdie.

The school has been notified and staff are at the scene along with ambulances and other emergency vehicles.

The bus, a #283 from Kalamunda to Perth, was travelling down Crystal Brook Road.  The accident occurred around 4pm just after the intersection with Kelvin Road.  The bus is thought to have hit a light pole and a tree before rolling on to its side.

The cause of the accident is not yet known. Police are on site.
