The State Emergency Management Plans (WestPlans) enable the Western Australian Government to prevent, prepare for, respond to and recover from all different types of emergencies in the State.

The PTA prepares and maintains the Westplan PTA Rail Crash. The aim of this plan is to detail the emergency management arrangements for rail crashes within our network in accordance with the Emergency Management Act 2005 and Emergency Management Regulations 2006.

The State Emergency Management Committee is the body with overall responsibility for emergency planning.

The State’s Westplans can be accessed at any time via the State Emergency Management Committee website.

PTA acknowledges the traditional custodians throughout Western Australia and their continuing connection to the land, waters and community.
We pay our respects to all members of the Aboriginal communities and to Elders past, present and emerging; and commit to building a brighter future together.
