Passenger assistant
Passenger assistants are the friendly and reassuring presence onboard Transwa services. You’ll work closely with the senior passenger assistant to ensure every passenger experiences a safe, comfortable and well‑organised journey.
This is a hands‑on role that combines customer service, hospitality and safety support in a unique rail environment.
What you'll do
- Provide high quality customer service and assistance throughout the journey
- Assist passengers with boarding and general enquiries
- Support our passengers including seniors, people living with disability and families
- Make public address announcements as required
- Operate buffet and refreshment services, including cash handling
- Maintain cleanliness of onboard facilities and report defects •Assist with emergency and service disruption procedures.
What we're looking for
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
- Experience in a customer service or hospitality environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic numerical and cash handling capability
- A flexible approach to rotational shift work, including nights, weekends and public holidays
- A current Western Australian C or C A Class Driver’s Licence (or equivalent)
