Balga Below is about connection, country, and culture. It takes its shape and meaning from the Balga, a plant that has always been part of our lives. For Noongar people, it is more than just a plant. It is a fire source, food, glue, and it holds stories. The resin binds things together, the stems are tools, and it uncovers bardi grubs that live within. It is a reminder to come together, old and young, to share resources, learn from Country, and pass on knowledge. Like sitting around a fire, its warmth brings us together and helps us remember the things that keep us strong.

The Public Transport Authority acknowledge that Noongar languages are oral in nature and that one word can be spelt in multiple ways.
