Australind Action Plan and WA-made railcar design revealed

  • New Western Australian made Australind railcar designs unveiled
  • Features include buffet, storage for 16 bikes, toilets, Wi-Fi and USB connection points
  • Australind Action Plan to deliver additional public transport for South-West commuters ahead of completion of new railcars
  • Non-stop road coach service to be trialled between Bunbury and Mandurah for 12 months from May
  • Fare credits to be granted to Australind passengers for delays of more than one hour

McGowan Government seeks builder for METRONET Morley-Ellenbrook Line’s main works contract

  • Request for Proposal for METRONET's Morley-Ellenbrook Line's main contract released to market today
  • RFP is for design, construction and commissioning of the new rail line - one of four works packages to build the Morley-Ellenbrook Line
  • Morley-Ellenbrook Line is being delivered through the Bayswater Station upgrade, Tonkin Gap project, forward works contracts and this main works contract
  • RFPs to close in March, with shortlist to be announced shortly afterwards
