Urban Glow

The Graphite Crew, with special guest TUES (Brisbane); and local youths

Title: Urban Glow

Artist/s: The Graphite Crew, with special guest TUES (Brisbane); and local youths

Year: 2008

Category: Urban Art Mural

Site: Warnbro Station

Location Details: Warnbro Station bin compound

Description:

A bright piece of urban art wraps the bin compound at the southern end of the station building.

Artist/s Statement:

The design and artwork incorporates an industrial skyscape and night sky. When brainstorming with the youth involved, they identified urban skyscapes and a gritty industrial look as a style they felt would suit the area. The colour schemes complement the station and surrounds, picking up on the green aura of the built environment and the earthy orange tones of nearby vegetation.

The PTA acknowledges Traditional Owners of Country throughout Australia and recognises  the continuing connection to lands, waters and communities. We pay our respect to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures; and to Elders past and present.

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are advised that this site may contain images or names of people who are deceased.
