Public Art Gallery

The PTA has an extensive collection of public art which has developed and expanded with the network, from electrification of the trains in the early 1990s to the METRONET program in recent years.

Description:

One of the 70-tonne tunnel boring machine cutterheads used to build the Airport Line tunnels is on display next to the car park, recognising the monumental feat of building WA’s longest tunnels. Stories of tunnelling accompany this heritage installation.
