Description:

Joanna Brown is a visual artist, digital designer and illustrator. She is inspired by the botanical detail in native flora.

The discovery of patterns and relationships between the shapes, forms and colours of local plant species drawn in a community workshop inspired this design.

The visual narrative include symbols representing trails that connect significant locations and waterways. Underground water connections highlight the vital role of water in survival and transportation, linking people and resources.

This work encapsulates the community's enduring relationship with the environment.

The PTA acknowledges Traditional Owners of Country throughout Australia and recognises  the continuing connection to lands, waters and communities. We pay our respect to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures; and to Elders past and present.
