Train services Monday 16 February 2004

Despite the continuation of disruptions to train services this morning (Monday 16 February), please be advised that a 10 minute train service will be provided on the Fremantle Line between Perth and Fremantle.

Limited train services will also operate from Whitfords Station to Perth Station on a 10 minute frequency with rail replacement bus services operating from Currambine to Whitfords.

Limited rail replacement bus services will operate on the Midland and Armadale lines. Please note that surfboards and bicycles are not permitted on Transperth buses.

All metropolitan train services were disrupted throughout the weekend due to industrial action by the Australian Rail, Tram and Bus Industry Union.

Normal train services are expected to resume mid morning, Monday 16 February.

To receive up-to-date service information, passengers can register with TravelEasy at www.transperth.wa.gov.au to receive email updates; call the Transperth InfoLine on 13 62 13, TTY 9428 1999 (delays may be experienced); or visit www.transperth.wa.gov.au .

Transperth apologises for these disruptions, which are a result of industrial action by the Australian Rail, Tram and Bus Industry Union. The industrial action occurred despite sustained efforts by the Public Transport Authority to resolve the dispute with the union, including securing a back-to-work order from the Industrial Relations Commission on Friday 13 February.
