Fares reinstated for post-midnight trains from February 4

  • Fares for post-midnight trains will be reinstated from February 4 for a three-month trial
  • New two-zone fare cap now in effect so no trip will cost more than $4.90
  • Will improve safety and security for passengers, while also making it easier for
  • COVID-19 tracing via SmartRiders
  • Part of new measures to tackle antisocial behaviour in CBD and Northbridge
  • Fares will be reintroduced on Transperth's post-midnight trains on Friday and Saturday nights from February 4, for a three-month trial.

Mandurah Line now open following successful 20-day Shutdown

  • Mandurah Line now open for passengers after 20-day shutdown to facilitate major works on Thornlie-Cockburn Link
  • About 500 personnel worked around the clock to lay more than 5 kilometres of new rail
  • More than 140,000 passengers used bus replacement services
  • Two-zone fare cap in effect, slashing cost of travel from southern suburbs

METRONET’s Thornlie-Cockburn Link on track

  • Works are on track to re-open the Mandurah Line from Saturday January 15, 2022
  • Shutdown has helped facilitate major works on the Thornlie-Cockburn Link
  • More than 40,000 passenger boardings on replacement bus services from major pop-up bus station at PCEC so far
  • Fares now capped at two zones

PCEC transforms into pop-up bus station for Mandurah Line Shutdown

  • Mandurah train line from Aubin Grove to Elizabeth Quay will temporarily close from December 26 to January 14
  • Replacement buses will run between affected train stations and Perth CBD
  • Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre transformed into pop-up bus station
  • Commuters urged to plan ahead and allow additional time for journey
  • Shutdown to facilitate major works on the METRONET Thornlie-Cockburn Link
