What do you need?
To be successful in a railcar driver position, you will need basic mechanical or technical ability with literacy and numeracy skills. You must be a good communicator, with proven customer service skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
How can you join the Transperth team?
We typically open rail car driver recruitment every two years, in response to the changing needs and growth across our network. We will post updates here when recruitment dates are confirmed.

Successful applicants are required to successfully complete a 27- week paid training period, as well as on-the-job training as a trainee railcar driver. You will attain a Certificate IV in Train Driving (Urban Electric) at the end of your training.
