Sneak peek of underground lounge

Transport Minister Dean Nalder took the media on a tour of the Perth Busport recently, providing a sneak peek into what the finished facility will look like.

While the overall build of the station is now 85 per cent complete and on track to open mid-year, the lounge fit-out is well-advanced with the ceiling, lighting and floors completed and signage and information screens installed.

At 170m long and 12.5m wide, the lounge is fully enclosed with glass panels so passengers can easily see approaching buses.  The air-conditioned lounge provides 160 seats where passengers can sit in comfort while they wait for their services.  The lounge will also have an information kiosk, automated help points, two food outlets as well as toilets and baby change facilities.
