To improve the experience of passengers and staff, works will soon begin to upgrade the ferry ticketing kiosk at Elizabeth Quay Jetty.
The upgrade will see the existing kiosk expanded to include additional storage and office space for staff, as well as better weather protection for passengers purchasing tickets, and improved accessibility for passengers with mobility restrictions.
The upgrade will commence on 28 August and include:
- Extending the kiosk’s veranda and enclosing the outside space with a glass wall, to protect waiting customers from the elements.
- Extending and modifying the customer service counter height to improve accessibility and ensure compliance with Disability and Discrimination Act (DDA) standards.
- Building a small lunchroom for staff and constructing additional storage facilities.
The works are expected to take three months to complete.
