February 2015 update

The second geotechnical drilling program is well underway with more than 100 bore holes drilled and 70 monitoring wells installed along the future rail route. Transport Minister Dean Nalder and local member for Forrestfield, Nathan Morton, recently accompanied PTA’s Geotechnical Manager Eric Hudson-Smith to inspect the drilling’s progress alongside the Swan River.

 

Data from the studies has already started to give the project team detailed insight into the ground conditions and will inform engineering studies and further development of the station concept designs.
