July 2015 update

In the past month, more detailed information was given to the three shortlisted respondents to help develop their proposals, which are due in November 2015. Transport Minister Dean Nalder released a statement about this - you can read it here.

Recent research showed that local residents are now ready for more information about specific details of the project. We will be holding several community information sessions in late August and early September to give you more information about the project, the next steps and how this might affect you.

Over the coming weeks, the Forrestfield-Airport Link website will be refreshed. As well as a new look and feel to it, the website will also contain new features such as an interactive rail map which can be used throughout the project to find the latest information in your community zone.

You can also use the website to sign up for information specific to your local community zone – and find out about the upcoming community information sessions.

Please continue to check the website http://www.forrestfieldairportlink.wa.gov.au/ to see the new one once it’s live.

These works were carried out to provide the Public Transport Authority with more information about the ground that the tunnels will pass through and will help inform more detailed design of the tunnels. Samples were taken from various points up to 24m below the ground.
