Contract negotiations have continued between the PTA and preferred respondent Salini Impregilo - NRW Joint Venture this month. The contract is expected to be signed by the beginning of May 2016.

Forward works in Forrestfield Station Community Zone
Forward works in Forrestfield Station Community Zone are progressing well. During March, the installation of one of the relocated steel gas pipelines was completed. The team will now be welding for the next two weeks to enable valves to be installed along the pipeline.

Work is taking place near Raven Street to extend the gas network and supply local residences with gas following the changes at the future Forrestfield Station site.

Over 3.5km of fibre-optic conduit has been installed, another 1km will be installed within the next month and a final 1.5km planned for May / June. The fibre-optic cable will be pulled through the conduits and connected in late June.

  • Brearley Avenue closure: design and coordination meetings to prepare for the closure of Brearley Avenue are continuing between PTA, Main Roads, City of Belmont and Perth Airport. Brearley Avenue will close in December 2016 with associated intersection upgrades at Fauntleroy Avenue and Coolgardie Avenue on Great Eastern Highway planned in anticipation of this.
