Jonathan is half way through this September’s visit to Perth!

Friday, 11 September 2015

Rail Safety Ambassador Jonathan Beninca has spent the last week working his way around many schools and youth organisations in Perth. Jonathan is here to start the conversation with young people about rail safety and the consequences of taking risks.

Jonathan has dedicated his career to educating young people about the risks of making dangerous decisions - especially around public transport, after being run over by a train himself when he was a teenager. His honest and direct approach connects people of all ages and reinforces the important message of safety and respect.

Jonathan says “It’s been an amazing week visiting many schools across Perth to deliver the Right Track messages on rail safety. A big shout out to the Year 6 students at Winthrop Primary School! You guys were fantastic and it was great to see you were using my story in your homework. Remember everyone that pushing and shoving at train stations is extremely dangerous especially when a train is entering the station”.

If Jonathan hasn’t visited your school yet then there are still a few slots left for next week. It’s free and booking is easy so don’t miss out. Jonathan is here until Friday 18 September 2015.
