Looking for sustainable inspiration for your class? Why not let the experts who are passionate about sustainability guide you and your students at the 2014 Sustainability Week festivities at Scitech.
From Monday 24th and Friday 28th of November 2014, Scitech will be celebrating Sustainability Week by offering sustainability activities for primary students.
Open between 9:30am and 1:00pm each day, your students can participate in exhibitions and displays aimed at opening their eyes to sustainability and science. Featuring the brand new Planetarium show 'Titans of the Ice Age' and demonstrations of the effect that extreme weather events will have on our planet and how scientists predict these dangerous events, there is bound to be something for your class.
Assisting Scitech will be a range of experts and specialists from numerous organisations who can answer any questions your students (or yourselves) may have regarding sustainability in the community and the classroom. A range of interactive activities will be available plus organisations who are passionate about sustainability will be there. Your students will learn all about recycling, composting, alternative power use, water and energy conservation, water wise plants, growing your own vegetables, and much much more...
Transperth's education team is supporting this terrific event and will be on hand to answer any queries your students may have about what Transperth is doing to keep this planet green and clean.
If you are a teacher keen to find out more about this terrific event, contact Angie Kara on 9215 0740 or email bookings@scitech.org.au. There are limited spaces left so book now to reserve your space.
