Butler Station will open its doors with a community event from 11am on Sunday, September 21, 2014.
To celebrate the completion of the Butler Extension Project, three months ahead of schedule and$20 million under budget, we have invited the local community to be among the first people to tag on at Butler Station and ride the train to Perth.
As part of the event, local community groups will run food and activity stalls throughout the morning. The PTA’s youth engagement program, Right Track will have an urban art activity setup to promote their anti-graffiti message.
The new Butler Station will connect the community with Perth via a 37-minute train ride. The station is expected to accommodate more than 2,000 passengers a day and features universal access giving passengers a choice of lifts, stairs or escalators, as well as toilets, bike facilities, bus stands and more than 900 parking bays.
Come and join us on the day to help celebrate the success of Butler Station.
