December 2013 works update
The new pedestrian underpass was opened to Perth city commuters on Thursday, 19 December, six months ahead of schedule.
 
Part of the Perth City Link rail project, the new underpass constructed underneath Wellington Street provides a seamless connection between Perth and Perth Underground stations to all platforms, and will save passengers time when transferring between services.

New pedestrian underpass open to the public

Perth passengers will now be able to enjoy seamless connections between Perth and Perth Underground stations via the new pedestrian underpass that was officially opened today.

Built by the Perth City Link Rail Alliance, and after two and a half years of construction, the  opening of the new underpass completes the overall rail project six months ahead of schedule.

October 2013 works update
Looking into Perth Station from Horseshoe Bridge, it’s beginning to look like a fully operational train station again, with the recent re-commissioning of Platform 6, and major works completed for lifts, stairs and escalators for the new pedestrian underpass.

Train shutdowns a success

Plan ahead for second train shutdown
From the afternoon of Wednesday, 31 July to last service on Sunday, 4 August, a second train shutdown is needed so trains can switch between the Fremantle and Joondalup line tunnels, and will improve how the network operates.
