Safety barrier replacement - Mitchell Freeway northbound

A series of lane closures will be required, including the north-bound inside emergency lane and freeway fast lane.  Work times will be 9am to 2pm and then 8pm to 7am Monday to Sunday.  Night and weekend works will depend on the stage of the job.

The speed limit in the area will be reduced to 60kmh for the duration of the works.

All lanes except the inside emergency stopping lane will be open for the afternoon peak freeway traffic.  During the school holidays (July 10-24), the fast lane will be closed.

A solid concrete barrier will replace the existing barrier between the freeway and the railway line.  Similar upgrades have been done over the past two years.  General maintenance work on the track and rail system will be undertaken at the same time.
