Free Anzac Day travel for veterans and serving personnel
Transperth is recognising the sacrifice made by the men and women of the armed forces by providing them with free travel all day on ANZAC Day (Tuesday, April 25).
Extra bus and train services will operate, including early-morning services to get people to and from the dawn services in Kings Park and Fremantle.
Transperth spokesman David Hynes said bus and train services were expected to be very busy throughout the morning.
“We strongly encourage everyone to plan their journey and catch their train or bus as early as possible, so they get to the memorial well ahead of time,” Mr Hynes said.
All serving and returned service personnel wearing their uniforms, campaign ribbons or medals can travel free on all Transperth bus, train and ferry services throughout the day.*
