The three shortlisted respondents have now submitted their proposals for the main design and construct contract for Forrestfield-Airport Link

Proposals received from shortlisted respondents

Another milestone has been achieved, on target, for the project’s formal procurement phase which kicked off 12 months ago with an industry briefing event in Perth. Following an Expression of Interest process, three shortlisted respondents have now submitted their priced proposals for the main design and construct contract.

Boxes, suitcases and packages of files and drawings arrived at the Public Transport Authority (PTA) on Friday 6 November ahead of the 11am submittal deadline. It brings to an end a 20 week proposal preparation period which included several interactive workshops between the PTA, the three shortlisted respondents and numerous key stakeholders.

The three proposals will now be assessed in detail, based on their design, price, innovation, resourcing and community engagement plans. The contract is planned to be awarded mid-2016.

The three shortlisted respondents are:

• Forrestfield Connect (ACCIONA Infrastructure, BAM International and Ferrovial Agroman)
• JHL JV (John Holland and Leighton Contractors)
• SI-NRW JV (Salini Impregilo and NRW)
