As part of the Perth City Link work to sink the Fremantle Line, Perth Station is undergoing some major changes to provide faster and easier transfers and cater for future growth.

This disruption allows important platform changes to take place in Perth Station, which frees up space to build the new tunnel, create the new Platform 8/9 and build the pedestrian underpass from Platform 7 to Platform 8/9.

To allow the layout changes to occur, a significant amount of track connections, overhead wire work and systems upgrades must be completed over a single weekend.

The Roe Street principal shared path (PSP) west of William Street will be used as the temporary train replacement bus stop during this work. Cyclists should slow down and take extra care in this area as passengers will be waiting for their bus replacement services.

Signage will be in place to notify cyclists of the changes to the PSP during this weekend.

The train replacement bus service between West Leederville and Perth will increase in frequency. After the game there will be football express bus services taking passengers from Patersons Stadium direct to Claisebrook and Perth.

Armadale, Midland and Thornlie Lines: bus services will leave from outside West Leederville Station and will go direct to Claisebrook. Passengers should walk to Court Place and through the pedestrian underpass to the bus stop.

Joondalup and Mandurah Lines: bus services will leave from Mueller Park on Roberts Road and will go direct to Perth.

From 12 noon on Friday, 17 August until 4am on Monday, 20 August, the level crossing across the railway line at Moore Street will remain closed to allow track work in the area to take place.  Motorists should find alternative routes via Lord Street, Barrack Street Bridge or the Horseshoe Bridge.
