Mandurah Line Noise and Vibration Report

With the opening of the Mandurah Line, the Public Transport Authority (PTA) made a commitment to measure and report on noise and vibration levels within three months.

As part of this commitment, the PTA undertook a comprehensive monitoring program to measure the noise and vibration impacts from the train in relation to guidelines set by the Minister for the Environment through the Environmental Protection Authority and the Department of Environment and Conservation.

The monitoring was conducted by an independent acoustics company.

The results of the monitoring are now available. A list of frequently asked questions has also been provided.
