The Rockingham City Centre Transit System (RCCTS) provides a quick and convenient link between Rockingham’s new train station, CBD and foreshore.

As part of establishing this new service, a contract for the associated road works was awarded to Western Australian-based Works Infrastructure Pty Ltd in January 2007.

The contract included widening existing roads, building some new roads, providing street furniture and constructing a dedicated bus way and a transit mall in the Rockingham CBD.

Works commenced in January 2007 and bus services began operation in December 2007.

Four modern, distinctively marked gas-powered buses operate the new route, providing a 15 minute frequency service with 10 stops along the way.
