As a Trainee Railcar Driver, you will operate electric suburban railcars in either single or multiple consists and prepare, shunt, marshall and assemble railcar consists. You will ensure that customers of the PTA receive a comfortable, safe, secure, timely and environmentally friendly means of transport.
To become a Trainee Railcar Driver you will need basic mechanical or technical ability with literacy and numeracy skills. We are looking for good communicators with proven customer service skills who can work well in a team environment.
If you meet these requirements, you may be selected to our pool of suitable applicants to become Trainee Railcar Drivers.
The pool will operate for a period of 12 months and, as vacancies arise, offers may be made to those in the pool, subject to satisfying medical and integrity checking requirements.
